Regarding yellows being used to catch big bass. In your reply, you said "As I see it". This sounds more like an opinion than a law. Shouldn't your reply be more like, "Per the regulations"? Inquiring small mind wants to know. Dave.

That statement was in regards to the original scenario that was presented. It was portrayed as an accident and I meant that I saw it as such.

The accidental catch of another species while reeling in another species is not referenced in the regulations. So it would be impossible to say "Per the regulations"

The regulations however are clear as to what species of fish you can and cannot use as bait. No game fish other than sunfish (bluegills etc.....) in certain places can be used in whole or part as bait. Yellow bass are considered a game fish, so they cannot be used as bait. My feeble attempt to make that point in my scenario in my response was just that, feeble

Thanks for your reply. I didn't think your reply was a feeble attempt. I was just happy as hell someone responded. I understand your reply and remember reading those specifics in the regulations. I will leave you alone now. Dave.

Spidey that topic was brought up at the meeting last night, I believe that it was decided you were guilty and your boat and equipment would be confiscated and distributed among those at the meeting :p . um.. would Baxter and Toad(no chuckle) be considered part of your equipment ?I got dibs on the rod holder.

Don't think you need any help. I was just thinking since people are afraid to fish with you, this may encourage some of those fishing/cowboys to want to ride with.

Don and Samario

I think both of you guys are great. It's a treat and a priviledge to have someone in the know share their knowledge and time with us. I am sure that if either of you would like to back seat it on Saguaro, all you have to do is post what day you would like to fish and your reservation would be made.
Dave.

Thanks for the kind words Dave!

I'll keep your invitation in mind. Seems like managing fish for a living tho has left me very little time to enjoy them as a hobby! I might sound sick, but, my many attempts to relax and enjoy fishing anymore always ends up feeling like I'm at work.

Thank god, I don't feel that way about hunting!!
