Tournament question

Just wondering if you guys know why there are no tourney's on Sunday. I mean if you were out to get people to commit but they can't cuz there is a conflict on this date or that date. I think one of the local groups would grab onto Sunday's and blow it up.

Maybe the wives would send death threats or they like to leave Sunday for family and church. Just thought I would toss it out there and see what you guys thought about this.

the hook up had them, everyone thoguht they were a good idea, but not many people showed up.
I think they are a great idea but I can never find anyone to fish them with.

I like the hook up derbies on Sunday especially since you are done by noon.
Everbody on this site is in church. Bite is off before services end. Thought you would know that Doc.
I completely forgot about the HookUp Sunday morning schedule.
we should have a 1v1 tourney. just you against the other guy. i think that would be fun.

i wouldn't mind someone doing one of these derbies. if the pro/am in mbc (i'm not crying flung poo) ran like this, i think it'll be more interesting. its like getting practice for the flw. basically split weight format.

how many of you tourney guys wonder about how you did on the water as a individual instead of a team? just a thought.
not if i fish the swim area. you think paul would let me?
Paul would let you. No prob. I'd still beat your ass! He he
lol... you are not ready for my dragon style.

Math 101 usually comes into play, your partner catchs xxx fish you catch xxx fish and you will know how you did :Iconrotfl :Iconrotfl :Iconrotfl

Kinda like if you were sitting at the dinner table with one of your friends at the local petsmart and they had 3 cats and 2 dogs, when you guys were done eating and you were the only one full, your buddies plate was unused and the cats and dogs were gone
come on Ghetto simple math here :Iconrotfl :Iconrotfl

I always thought the following format would be a good idea for a weekend warrior, federation, or club level tourney.

Saturday is designated for practice...this way if you were fishing one of the other circuits, you could still fish it.

Sunday was the tourney.

The caveot would be having the lake off limits the week prior to the tourney. I really dislike off limits rules because they're unenforcable and mostly rely on the honor system....off limits would also create other issues/conflicts with those wanting to fish other circuits whom might have a saturday tourney on the same lake.

I believe the Yuma Pro/Am is set up similar to the above....don't think there's an off limits though.
