I was under the impression that tungsten is being used in weights because not only is it more dense than lead but because it was safer, I guess that is not the case don't eat your sinkers.

20+ grams isn't THAT much.. I recall from my past that 7 grams = 1/4 oz, 8 if you're lucky. So don't swallow a 3/4 az weight when lubing up your rig with spit.Don't eat tungsten. You'd have to ingest 20+ grams of tungsten.

I was actually thinking what if your kids got a hold of em little ones have kind of a habit of eating things they shouldn't not that its any safer to eat lead or even a crankbait.
I was actually looking into what it would take to produce your own weights but tungsten has a melting point of like 5000 degrees so I don't think it's possible for the do it your selfer.
