I know this is mostly a "lakes" board but I am itching to try for LMB's on the stretch of the Verde from Sheeps Crossing (north of Horeshoe) to Wet Bottom Mesa. Maybe Ray from Tucson (skunked) could get off his boat for this one !! LOL. Any comments, suggestions welcome. FYI...caught my first LMB of my life yesterday at Tempe Town Lake. 3 pounder on a 1/8th oz. gold Z-Ray with 4lb test.... Ready to head back to Saguaro when you are Ray.

Congrats on your fish Jimmyfish! We'll have to take some time in March and do some fishing. Wait a minute, you're going to work for the enemy... I don't think we can fish anymore. :twisted:

Fished down at Sheeps Crossing a month ago. We caught LM and SM using 1/8oz spinnerbaits white and 2" jerkbaits. Take some small plastic craws with you. Use a good short rod (5'or less) and I like 6 or 8# P-line. If you want to have some fun and the bass aren't biting, Take a bucket of worms or corn and a stout pole and catch some carp. The river is full of them and they're huge. Post a fishing report when you get back. Good luck and have fun.
