I have two garmin 240's on a 18 f/s. On my last trip to the lake the water temp reading was around .3 to .4 difference between the two. I wouldn't think there would be such a big difference in temp between the back of the boat and the troll motor. Does this sound right? What voltage should a properly charged battery read? Thanks

Peg-it, all temperature sensors read differently because they are made to pretty loose specs. Probably plus or minus a couple of degrees. My temp sensor measures 2 degrees colder than a mercury thermometer.

Measured at the battery a good charge is at least 12.7 volts.. If your Garmin shows 12.5 its because there's a small loss in the wiring.
