HEY GUYS! I AM GOING TO BE TAKING MY FAMILY OUT CAMPIN THIS WEEKEND AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHICH LAKE HAS THE BEST CAMPIN SPOTS, AS FAR AS RAMADAS FOR SHADE AND CLOSE ACCESS TO RESTROOMS. I KNOW, SOME OF YOU ARE SAYING JUST ROUGH IT, AND ME AND MY BRO_N_ LAW CAN BUT THE OLD LADIES NEED AT LEAST A PORTAPOTTY TO TAKE CARE OF THERE BUISNESS. WE ARE PITCHING TENTS TO! WE THOUGHT ABOUT BARTLETT, BUT WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT SAGUARO, AND CANYON. ANY INFO WILL HELP! AND WE ARE TAKING THE 14 FT. ALUMINUM BASSIN MACHINE! THX AZ BASS FISHERMAN. :lol:

Roosevelt has the best drive up campsites around,Bathrooms,showers....

Alamo had showers bbq pix and electrical outlets and its cheap.

canyon up at the last boat ramp(laguna?) is very nice as well. they have grass and a sandy beach.

Apache is nice as well but at the other launch ramp not the marina(for camping) I forget the name)

rosy is good

Pleasant at the marina you would be better off camping at a mall parking lot

sag. Wouldnt reccomend it

Canyon and apache by far the best(nice grass to sit and read books)

JR I would reccomend Apache lake. this weekend though might be a little busy but when I go to Apache I always seem to forget why I'm there. meaning that I am a fisherman and when i'm there its all about the camping. Toilets are not as plentiful but lots of trees to sit under! Burnt corral is established and the sites are fairly big. We always camp at the site just before burnt corral and I really dont know the name but try it out sometime. sagauro is just too busy due to partiers and gunshots throughout the evening. Canyon does have some good sites and it's comfortable. Apache also has a hotel that is also good for the "old ladies".

I like going to Alamo because the fishing is usually good, they have good facilities, (improved or unimproved) it's out of the way so there's usually not a whole lot of people. Have a good time and drive safe.
