I've searched BPS for plastic storage boxes for my worms, but what they have at BPS,doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for. Is there a place in town that has a nice plastics organizer? I'm looking for plastics container (worm proof) that'll hold up to 13" worms. Would Phoenix Fishing Supply have them? Waterdog Willies as of late seems to be a little over priced on certain things. What Kind of plastics storage units do you have and where did you buy them? Thanks in advance! Matt

Matt, I use plano trays, they are not the best but they are cheap enough. Tried the ones with shimano on them, they seemed ok at first but then seemed to get brittle. Wallmart seems to carry them. ...Pete

Worm storage

Im not sure if these are what you are looking for I use the tacklelodgic bags they come in 3 different sizes.they come with
ziplock bags that have sticky tags that go on the bags. They work rather well for worms & other plastics. They also dont take up alot of room. Fishermans Choice & Bass pro shops carry all different sizes
Hope this helps

i also use the plastic trays (shimano) they are cheap and they work great. I take the tray that I'm fishing out of and place it on the deck and that way it's right there and also waterproof. Ya know just in case it rains. I have labled the top of the boxes(magic marker/lables) and that seems to be working so that way you know where its at before you open it. And last it floats. good luck I also saw some trays at lowes that were pretty cheap but I wasnt sure of the size I needed. Goodluck

Guys, another question. If you have scented stuff like Powerbait worms. Do they hold up in those boxes or do you re-apply scent as you use them? Does the oil/scent tear up the box? Thanks, Matt

I put mine in plano box's but I found out they wont last very long if you leave the box's in your boat or out in the heat(even the garage). the scents and salt will disolve and the colors will start to fade after a period of time as well. If you get any moisture in them what so ever the baits will really deteriorate(sp).
I have some I have kept in my house and they are fine.

I keep mine in plastic bags (well kinda) I still have about 30 plano box's filled with worms. but I keep them in the house now until I use them.

I personnally havent had any problems except forthe staining that occurs. Tats why I lable the individual spaces but I also dont use the spray scents either. Most if not all are salted or unsalted.
Matt if your looking around and stumble on a locker organizer for the rod locker size let me know. I would like to take one side of the boat and have about three seperate storage compartments. Lifevests, anchor, drift sock/Night fishing stuff/Clothes for when I fall in!

Worm management

I purchased 2 worm bags from Cabellas. One bag is for my worms/lizards, and other baits that I generally texas or carolina rig. My other bag has bass assassins, flukes, other shad imitators, and also my dropshot worms. I also have a 2 gallon plastic zip lock bag that has duplicates , and other worms that have been benched due to lack of performance.
