WTF is wrong with me?
so today i decided to go out and go to the fishing store (already, this is not the first or second time this week) get to lookin around and i end up walking out with with a hand full of DD22's, a few bags of plastics, and some other various mumbo jumbo.
so i get home and re-organize my soft tackle box (tackle purse) and go to zit it up and the damn front zipper breaks. this pisses me off because the top zipper doesn't zip up anyways but i can move the 2 zipper things to keep it closed enough so my boxes don't fly out.
so being pissed off i head to another fishing store on a quest for a tackle purse. i get to looking around and don't find anything i like and the only ones i was interested in were like $70 and up but i don't need all the damn cases in them i already have a billion of those. So instead of walking out with a new tackle purse that i NEED i walk out with another G-loomis rod becuse it was marked down :/ WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME!??!?!?
anybody got a bigger tackle purse laying around they wanna sell cheap? i dont need the trays. haha.

I'm the exact same way. That's why I only go to the fishing store if I really need something. And I still walk out of there with tons of extra stuff I don't need every time.
i usually go and get what i need at least then get other stuff. but this time i wasnt even close on what was needed and i spent more the twice what i intended on (witch is always understandable unless you dont get what you went for)
dont get me wrong, i love collecting stuff but wow i should kick myself in the @ss for this one. at least i got another kickass rod out of the deal.

tattoo ink f's up brain cells it is a common occurance, deal with it, accept it and your life will gain a whole new clarity.

Good choice I have the same rod and really like it. I have most of that series of rod including the one that can handle the 1oz or bigger spinnerbaits. You will like it.
Just look at it that you traded that fly outfit to me for that rod and it my not seem so bad.

I just wait for some zoners to have a sale,
then I can get twice as much stuff that I dont really need,

for the tackle purse, maybe check into a good duffel-type bag. I got a Coronado last time I deployed and it was like 25 bucks and will probably last forever.
as for the tackle store....make a list of stuff you 'need' before you go and stick to it and you should be okay.

I always try to make a list. I mostly buy weights, hooks and plastics, I really need to start getting bulk plastics.
I'm curious does Berkley have a bulk option for all their plastics, Anyone know? I've only seen various size worms in bulk from Berkley.

WTF I must be sick or something. First thing my wife said to me when I got home today is show me what you bought and how much did you spend. She almost "$hit" herself when I said I only bought two tee shirts.
I made the trip up from Tucson to hook up a fellow Zoner with a fish finder and to pick up some stuff I ordered from Cabelas. I didn't spend a dime in Cabelas after spending about an hour walking around and looking at stuff.
Then I drove over to Bass Pro Shops to pick up some stuff and they didn't have what I needed. I bought the two shirts and didn't even go into the fishing department. I started to walk back there and turned around becasue if I would have gone back there it would have cost me at least 2 hundred bucks.
