If your going to switch oils do a 50/50 mix to get the new oil in there.....

Is there any other oil that I can use in which I can add directly to oil resvoir. Or do I have to run that all out first.

I still run yamalube in mine; although i did run out once at Powell and did the 50/50 mix with no bad results.
Yamalube is a semi synthetic..... As long as you use another semi-synthetic you should be fine.
A new 225hpdi is runnin what, $12,000. Il stick with the recomended oil, a few extra buck might be cheap insurance.
