Got off work, hitched up the boat, drove 55 miles to the lake, dumped her in...motor wont pee. DAMN IT. There goes my plan of running to the schoolers. Drop the TM and start casting around the ramp. TM quits. DAMN IT. Slide her on the trailer and head home. 110 mile round trip for 10 minutes of fishing and two headaches to deal with. Oh well, shes been pretty dependable so far....beer will make it all better.

Sounds like it was still better than work....would have been nice to atleast hook up on one Better luck next time
Dude that BLOW'S. Sorry to hear that.. It's the drive that suck's.
yeah....driving it onto the trailer last time out, at the farm pond, I kinda buried the prop in the mud so I think I got some clogging something up. The TM is a mystery....possible bad switch. I made about 15 casts, lost two shakey heads and a DS rig. Also lost my crankbait but it floated back up and I got it. It just wasnt meant to be.
take a paper clip and stick it up the hole and you might be able to clean the dirt of it and get it piss'n again. Worked for me before
Bummer. Sorry to read about a bad 10 minute fishing trip. I hope you get it all figured out on the engine and trolling motor.

I have a water pressure gauge and it's one of the more valuable gauges. Having a water pressure gauge on my Ranger all those years fishing on Okeechobee (shallow flats, bunch of grass) taught me the value of such a gauge.

By the way, my Air Force pilot son is back in Phoenix after 17 months at Kunsan. His next assignment will be as a pilot trainer at Luke AFB for 3 years. He won't be snowboarding in Phoenix like he did in Seoul but I'm sure he'll find a bunch other things to do in Phoenix.

It makes a lot of things better, indeed.
I carry about 3 foot of weed eater line in the boat. Have used it more than one time for sure. Mud, dirt dobbers you name it in florida. May have to run it up the pee hole 3 of 4 times for it to work. Have motor running to help dislodge whatever. Weed eater line is just about the same dia. and flexible enough to make the bends around.

The old man used to do the same thing. Seemed like he'd have that problem after fishing Schoefield back home...
the pee hole was clogged. Cleared it out, put the muffs on it, fired it up in the driveway and it pees again. Aw yeah!
When my TM decided to quit on me for no apparent reason, it was the 3-position switch on the pedal. $27 for genuine Motorguide part, $3.95 for the EXACT SAME FREAKIN SWITCH at the local CarQuest.
